The Meaning of the Term ‘Spiritual Worker’
The term ‘Spiritual Worker’ in this document applies to all persons who in any capacity, whether professionally or voluntarily, offer any kind of mediumistic, psychic, holistic, spiritual, therapeutic, complementary or esoteric services to the public. All Spiritual Workers affiliated to the Association (SWA) must accept, and abide by, the terms of this Code of Conduct, and sign to confirm that they have received a copy of this document. From time to time, this Code may be revised: in these circumstances, updated copies will be issued to all current Spiritual Workers via email or on the SWA website.
The SWA Core Values
To give all spiritual workers a nationally recognised voice.
To define and promote best practice in all spiritual disciplines whilst recognising and protecting the individuality and independence of spiritual workers and spiritual organisations.
To raise standards across all spiritual disciplines through discussion, agreement and consensus and to produce member agreed guidelines that provide uniformly high standards.
To work with other organisations and bodies to set up nationally recognised certification and to have this training recognised nationally.
